Do you think Disney needs to clamp down on this by placing LARGE, BOLD, NASTY signs by the pool stating that toddlers and young kids MUST wear swim diapers or will be EJECTED from the pool? Oh, and do you think I'd have a red block in my file if I went to the front desk and demanded to speak to a manager about it? I really want opinions because I have traveled all over and stayed at mom and pop places, low level Comfort Inns, Hojos etc ... right on up to 5 star world-class resorts and I have NEVER witnessed this yet I ALWAYS see it at WDW. Have people become total animals? Please, someone tell me, it's just me. Go on ... ~the Spirit knows~

But Disney has brought this on for offering cheaper options in their resort lineup. They get what they are able to pay for. Very sad situation Spirited one and I sure hope you are now safe and sound from beasts in your spiritual retreat.

Too much trouble, in their opinion. In our temporary office we have two unisex bathrooms. I went to use the restroom the other day and there were spots of urine on the floor around the toilet. When I started complaining, I found out that one of the very respected, genteel, VERY well off male physicians in our department had used the facilities just before me and left a mess. The crime rate is shooting up again, too, even though the city is at about half its population before the storm. And that is why I live in the suburbs!

I am just wondering what it is about Disney that attracts such boorish, pathetic excuses for humanity ...

One thing we have to look forward to: the Saints are playing in the Superdome on Monday for the first time since the storm, and the city is basically shutting down early so peopple can participate in the festivities. I'll be wearing my black and gold to work on Monday!
Originally Posted By NikkiLOVESMickey <<I am just wondering what it is about Disney that attracts such boorish, pathetic excuses for humanity ...>> I believe a lot of it has to do with the "This vacation is for the kids, so they can do whatever they want", mentality. They don't care about you or me or anyone else, as long as the kids don't whine, they'll let them do whatever they want - even at the expense of our comfort. Many Disney guests come to the parks WITHOUT kids, and the stroller nazis don't realize that - they think they have the run of the place and that we have to live with them. On a trip last year, my mom and I saw two elderly couples sitting in the food court at Port Orleans having coffee. Turns out that one of the couples was at WDW to celebrate their anniversary, and brought their friends along for the ride. They didn't have any children with them at all, it was just them. But do the stroller nazis care? Probably not - they probably nearly knocked at least one of those people over in an attempt to catch a parade/board a monorail/ride an attraction/get ice cream.

Is this right? It wouldn't bother you? You'd jump right in? You wouldn't mind being told every day that the pool was closed (they don't announce why, naturally) when you wanted to use it?

No, I don't think it's perfectly okay.... don't be stupid. I was only responding to labuda who said that she is happy she hadn't experienced anyone poopping in the pool, by saying that she HAS experienced it; she just didn't know about it. My example of about the ocean is merely to say that if you think about anything too much, you'd be petrified to go anywhere.
