They completely re-built the track. In that instance, I believe it opened about 6 months earlier than originally planned. Under Pressler, it wasn't supposed to re-open until November '05, but once Ouimet took over, he had them put it on the fast track (made a pun!) to get it ready in time for the 50th. But it's true about the refurb schedules being pretty well planned. Also, a lot of it depends on the ride. If during the rehab, they discover something; say a safety hazard they didn't know about, the refurb could actually take LONGER than planned. I would imagine that the further we get from the Pressler era, the less this happens. What attraction in particular are we talking about?
