But she was very publicly supported by Trump in regards to expressing her opinion. But it seems that she didn't fulfill the job requirements, public appearances, PR type work for the pageant, and now she's out. It won't matter to her, she got the publicity she was after. And a gig on Fox News, too, for starters. Not bad for just stating her opinion.

It's framed as if both sides have a valid "opinion." "We may not agree with it, but hey, they're entitled to it." But I think very few people would take that view if Prejean had said she didn't think black people should be able to get married, or Jews should be able to get married. It wouldn't just be a "She has a right to her opinion! Free speech and all!" Of course, she does have a right to free speech. Which means the government can't imprison her or stop her from saying what she wants. But it doesn't protect her from being fired by an employer, or being disagreed with by other Americans.

Donald Trump gave her a pardon even, but apparently even he's had too much of her blowing off her duties. It's not about her opinion anymore, it's the simple fact she can't even do the job she is supposed to be doing.

She's embraced the whole martyr thing and is making a run with it 'round the conservative road show. If Bob Hope were still alive, she'd be in a sketch right now in one of his specials along with Joe the Plumber.

This chick must have been a real handful growing at home too... I guess it's the entitlement this generation seems to have about everything...it's very annoying. Not to mention she probably shouldn't be using internet shorthand in professional correspondence. I know I am probably just cranky about it, but I can't stand seeing things like "UR" for "you are", or "U" for "you". I just don't think that shorthand should appear in business...
