Don't have a pool unless you like to entertain.

There was speculation about whether the author was serious or joking and then lots of horror stories from pool owners and the like.

    Oh, wow. I can NOT imagine calling someone up and asking to use their pool, regardless of who they are unless they're a close family member, or friend who's close enough they're almost family!

    As it stands now, though, we live in an apartment complex with a pool, so I can just walk 50 feet if I want to swim.

At least in my city I find there are areas that almost everyone has a pool (IE my parents neighbourhood) and areas were there aren't many (IE my area). Now I like the neighbour to the left of my parents house pool better then my parents (1. It's heated, 2. It's all shallow end so it's much better for hyrotherapy.)

    And yes, we've had relatives call and attempt to make arrangements like spending every Friday at our house to use the pool.

    And we have seriously discussed having it filled in, in part because of the above.

I also have been making alittle on the side teaching swim lessons. So far I have made enough to buy Andrew all new school clothes and I also traded swim lessons for a 2 seater bike trailer so we can take Holly for a bike ride and have room for a picnic lunch basket
