Double-Whammy Prayer/Good Thoughts Request

    I just got two emotionally striking pieces of news today. My longtime friend, Rose, who I met in the fourth grade and have kept in touch with over the years on and off, was in open-heart surgery on July 17th. She is in recovery and is now home after six days in the hospital.

    She's my age, 37.

    After having a round-robin of emails about her health and status with dear old friends, we found out another friend of ours, Julie, has malignant melanoma and it seems to be on the cusps of going into the yucky stages of multiple surgeries for icky things I won't post here.

    On top of what is going on at Disney right now, my friends and I can use your good thoughts and prayers and meditations and best wishes.

    And yes, Rose is the bride of the wedding I attended last year after freaking out about what to wear. :)
