Sure for years I could go online and look at the highway conditions through COMPAS and see how bad the roads were. Yes the signs overhead tells me when it's backing up or if theirs an accident etc, but why can't they personalize it so it says Hey you white corvette stop cutting people off???

Well if you think about it, many places use speeding fines as revenue it "makes sense" that they'd ding a place with many unsuspecting tourists who have their guard down in vacation mode.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the violators are CM's.

I have seen numerous single occupancy vehicles weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds. I can't help but think that they must work there.

Oh, and I'm one of the tourists who does speed on WDW property, BUT I at least don't do it around other cars - more when roads are empty, as I'm either out super early or super late.

You're not speeding the other people are going slow...

Montana HAD no speed limits on certain highways,

We all know about the German Autobahn,

Italy is seriously considering raising their speed limits from 130km/h to 160km/h (81m/h to 100m/h),

Our highways here (Ontario, Ca) were designed to handle speeds in excess of 140km/h way back when (50's or something), when people were still bad drivers like they are now, and when cars were big and did not handle, take curves, or stop well. If it could handle those cars at those speeds why can't it handle today's cars at those speeds?,

I guess because speeding fines are a source of revenue.

One askes "What are you doing?" You don't want to know what my repartee was. The other one yelled and said "You're not allowed to run here!" You wouldn't want to know my response to that either. These 8 buck an hour cm's (sometimes) think they're stars and want to actually tell someone they can't run on public streets. Now remember, this is OFF property. W.Buena Vista, one of my favorite and safest running places in the world. I thought they thought I was running with a bomb or something. At least it makes you feel they're trying to do a good job with security.

I'm kinda suprised that Disney had'nt asked Orange County to patrol thier roads more aggresively before this. I guess they've had enough of people doing 85 on thier way to the MK and geeting loaded at DTD and driving back to the Polly. Good for them.

    I don't think it's a good thing.

But, sadly, it is a necessary one.

You take your life in your hands when driving on WDW property nowawdays, and it isn't only CMs late for work ... it's the tourists who have little grasp that the rules of the road even apply in the land of pixie dust and giant hats.
