I took my dd to our local CLL yesterday and I was talking to the employees there and they told me that DTD Libby Lu was taking appointment reservations 3 months out. Since our 3 month mark is fast approaching I thought I would call and confirm that with DTD. When I called today the girl told me that they are already taking appointments for March 07, she said "Basically as soon as you know you are coming call and make an appointment." Now I had no problem getting an appointment on the day I wanted, but I'm going off season, so for those going in the busier months it would probably be more important to call early.

I also forgot to add that they do charge you at the time of the reservation, I believe it's for the lowest price makeover package around $24 dollars. That's how much they charged me for a party of 2 girls.

I called in MARCH and got an appointment for end of August! She told me it was a good thing I'd called when I did, because at that point, most weekends between March and August were already all filled up.

Me, too. My daughter & her friend are getting the $35 "pooch" package, but they charged us $24 upfront.

They did say that, if we cancel or something, we get a $24 store credit to be used at any time. So it's not like you lose that money if, for some reason, you can't make it.

They also have darling gift cards available that come in pink compact cases! I am ordering one now for my daughter's birthday.

I understand, and hadn't considered what kind of negative connotation that's sending to little girls. Hmmm...

In general, the whole Libby Lu experience is pretty much just little girls playing dress-up, the way we did as kids.

Its a very popular place.

I consider myself conservative but yet I see nothing wrong with the little girls being in there. You dont have to 'send them a message' about wanting to look pretty - they already want too! The girls go here and the boys go to ESPN. Its just hair-dos and lip gloss for heavens sake.

LOL, Mickeymouseclub! I would've also delined - but secretly wanted - the pixie dust! :)
