How easy it is to sell depends on what you ask and how popular the home resort associated with your points is. You are going to have to sell them for less than what DVC is currently selling points for since people prefer to buy direct from DVC. As rapidly as DVC increases the cost of points that usually isn't too difficult. My first points were purchased about 11 years ago for $60 per point. I believe the current price of new points is about $120. If you buy points now the Bay Lake Tower is going to have much better resale value than either the Animal Kingdom or Saratoga Springs, which are the other two resorts currently for sale through DVC. Don't worry that it costs a fortune in points to stay at BLT. Having that as your home resort does not commit you to actually staying there. You can stay at any other DVC resort with your points. It just gives you booking priority at BLT, which as popular as it is will be a good thing to have if you DO ever want to stay there. <<What does it cost per year and do you have to put a down payment to become a member.>> That is entirely dependent on how many points you buy, how much your down payment is and how long you finance it for. If you tell me about how long a period in what type of unit you want, I could give you an approximate upfront cost. If you tell me how much you intend to finance and for what period I could tell you approximately what the monthly cost would be. If you finance through Disney they want at least 10% down and they will finance for 10 years. That is usually going to be your best bet. Banks HATE financing timeshares and would require more down and charge a higher interest rate. By how long and what type of unit I mean saying "a studio unit for two weeks a year" or "a one-bedroom apartment for one week a year" etc. <<Any other information would be greatly appreciated.> I could easily write 75 pages telling you things about DVC. Try to think of questions you have and I will try to answer them.
