Early Entry: what is it and when is it?

I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, and if it has, please direct me in the right direction.

If not, I admit I'm a DL beginner having visited the resort only twice in the past 20+ years and I'm not up to date on all the happenings at the resort. Anyway, we are staying at the GCH and have a 3-day park hopper (not purchased in a package but separately because it was surprisingly cheaper). With the 3-day Park Hopper we get "one early admission".

My question is, what is is included with the early admission? What attractions are open? Is there somewhere to find out what days this will be offered during our trip? How much earlier can you get into the parks? Is it both DL and DCA, or just DL?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We will be at the DL resort from July 1-July 5 (I know, probably one of the busiest times, but the only week we all had off in the summer together to go somewhere).

Early Entry is normally on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays, when most of Fantastland and Space Mountain and BLAB opens one hour prior to the "official" park opening.

FYI, the June 15th EE is being moved to Wednesday June 14th due to the Grad Nites, and the June 24th EE is cancelled due to the Pirates Premiere (the park opens at 6:30 AM for everyone).

Since you are staying at one of the Disney Hotels, you get EE everyday that it is available. Make sure you have your white hotel charge slip to show as proof for the entry gate CM.

I would HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of early entry as often as you can. The crowds will be just a tiny fraction of what they will be later in the day. All the rides are walk ons. By the time the parks get crazy crowded, you can be back at the pool at the Grand relaxing!

So you should be fine, with the exception of the 24th, but basically everyone gets Early Entry that morning with the 6:30 AM start.

Sunday the 25th will be fine, as the EE is held on the east side of the park. There are rumors that the West Side might open a few minutes late on Sunday, as they are concerned about getting everything they can out of the area after the premiere to help with the crowds. (Of course, they won't get the bleachers out, but other stuff brought in for the premiere party.)

Also, according to the calendar the park doesnt open late on friday.

The calendar may be right. im just trying to figure it out because we have reservations to goofies kitchen before the park opens and i want to make sure i dont have that scheduled on a early entry day

AAA's calendars are printed way in advance. I would not count on them to be accurate. Heck, our AAA agent asked ME for DLR information.

The parks themselves will have the best information.
