    I use Travelaxe.com to see what the going rates are at many hotels in the area to see if it is just one hotel, or the fact the entire town is pretty busy.

    The one thing that might bring in larger than normal crowds, the Early 2007 ticket special expire the last week of April.

    Thanks for your help Darkbeer. The ticket special was one of the reasons we were thinking before our cruise rather than after it. HoJos is $30 cheaper per night by going the second dates so we more than make up for the increased cost of the tickets. I will play with travelaxe when I get home from work.

    Even though we haven't booked yet we have bene ooking at all the hotels in and around DL for April 9 thru the 13th and found one that suits us as a motel 6 about 2.5 miles away that's about under 50 a night only hope that price will stay till we can book it in January or February at the latest!     You should book it now to guarantee the price. If you're booking direct through the hotel, they don't make you pay until you checkout. They just take a credit card as a guarantee, and usually let you cancel without penalty until 24-48 hours before.

    There is a Motel 6 near the Block of Orange (2920 W Chapman), so you could walk there (a few long blocks).

    But you are much better off staying at the Red Roof Inn on Disney Way (another Accor Hotel) or using something like Hotwire or Priceline to get a room in the area, usually for about the same price as Motel 6.
