Can I get reservations in advance? Am I an idiot for thinking that there will be any reservations left anywhere in the park on Valentines Day? Any advice would be much appreciated.

They all take PS too.

We prefer making them through Disney Dining because we often find our plans change and we can change a reservation with a phone call. We found out last month that if you make your reservation at the park, Disney Dining can't cancel it for you. If you want something romantic DTD has many great choices, but if your idea is to also hit some attractions without the kiddies, Cafe Orleans is a good choice in the park. I'd also suggest Trattoria in DCA, but I imagine DCA closes early that night. As you exit Pirates, Cafe Orleans entrance would be straight ahead and a little to your right. Many of the tables are outside but there is also inside seating. I don't believe they have heaters so you may want to choose inside. last month I noticed some pretty chilly looking diners.

I'd imagine that an appetizer for a meal wouldn't be a problem
