Well why on this particular day I was feeling adventurous I will never know. But I sat in the very front of the log. I was actually pretty excited, sort of like a giddy kid. Well on the first steep climb we stop about half way up. The music playing and us sitting there thinking that we would start moving again at any moment. Then the music stops and the inside lights come on. Of couse we knew immediately that this could not be a good sign, but again thought we will sit here for a bit then be on our way once again.

Well let me tell you that if you are on a ride that stops completely, music stops and lights come on....it really isn't a good sign. Soon a young bubbly CM comes bopping up the steps beside us. She has a big smile and she looks at me and says we are going to play follow the leader and your going to be the leader. I look at her like you have got to be kidding me! She says I'm going to help you out of the log and over her to the steps. Okay pic this.....we are literally on a near 90 degree angle. So I think well how hard can it be right? WRONG....let me just say that when trying to stand up at a 90 degree angle in a wet log there is no such thing as traction.....especially when you are wearing your MM crocs! So my hubby being the loving man that he is decides to try and help me. How does he do this....by placing his hands one on each cheek and I don't mean my face! I look back at him and it's at that time that I see I have four other logs behind me not to mention the over 4 people in our log! Finally with some serious pleading with God to get me out of there and my hubby helping to steady me I make it out of the log. I literally expected everyone to clap! So if anyone that reads this happen to be in one of those 4 logs, I know that you will want to thank me for entertaining you! YEP that was me! LOL!!!

I never got that either....the other one I think is funny is when you see teenage girls wearing short skirts and really high heels they do not know how to walk in. If you do not know how to walk in 5" heels (the ankle wobble is a pretty good sign you need practice) you probably should not wear them to a place where you will be walking around all day.

Um...I'm trying to recall some embarassing moments I've had at the parks. There was this one moment which happened to my brother, but I dunno if this counts as embarassing....More like strange or awkward.

So my brother was waiting in line at the Matterhorn and he was standing next to this lady dressed um...daisy dukish...0_o Y,know, really short shorts, ripped sleeves shirt....then out of nowhere, she steps in and just growls and my brothers ear.
And that's not all, once everyone was seated on the ride, the lady takes a cowbell out of her purse and starts ringing it. Then everybody on the ride starts cheering and shouting. Meanwhile, my brother just sits there going "Okay...?"

Yup, that's all I can recall for now.

As we walked up, one of the other Pixies (have no clue as to what her name is, but I think it was Fawn or soemthing) greeted us as we walked up, in character of course. Then she blurts out without thinking, "So are you both faeries too?!" Just as serious as she could be. I paused a little, then said, "Why actually, yes....yes we are." And smiled really big. It took here a few seconds, then she totally broke character, blushed and pulled us off to the side and apologized profusely.

We thought it was hilarious. So did everyone around us. Nothing like getting outed by one of Tinkerbell's friends.

As a former Matterhorn CM, I never had to evacuate anyone from the lift, but there were some places on the track where it was a little more difficult to get guests out of the train than others. Definitely possible (and safe), but still a little awkward. Places where the train is stopped on an angle, e.g. Not quite as interesting as being evacuated off a lift like you were, but still interesting. :)

Back in the 70's, Levi's denim shirts with embroidered images on the back were in fashion. (I know, i know, but it was the 70's. You had to be there.)

I had this lion character I always drew and my aunt had painstakingly rendered the cartoon lion on the back of my shirt with embroidery thread. I was very proud of it and wore it to Disneyland one day. I think I was 13 or 14 years old.

We were waiting in line for Mr. Toad and the line stretched into the middle of Fantasyland (this was before the early 80's redesign). A woman tried to pass through the line behind me and her gigantic wedding ring snagged the embroidery on my shirt. I didn't notice it and neither did she. She walked away as my lion character "undrew" itself rapidly.

Within about 20 seconds she came to an abrupt halt, like a fish on a line, and I was pulled backward a step. People criss-crossing the line became entangled, and the string just would not break. It was quite a scene for a few minutes there, funny in retrospect but very humiliating at the time as several of us tried to escape from the tangle.

In my trip report of us going to see WOC, I now realize I forgot a story.

When we were in line for TSMM, it was the start of the working day for that ride. So, the queue wasn't stopped yet. We were still filling in the spaces so the line was a walking/running one.

This family in front of us had a mom, 2 sons and a dad. The mom had the hand of one of the sons and was nearly dragging him by the hand so he'd hurry up to keep up with the flow and her family. The kid, being 6-7ish would much rather look around, so he let mom lead him as he dawdled and trotted along.

You know how they have those poles for the umbrellas throughout that ride? Mom, in her rush, dragged the kid head first smack into a pole.

The kid starts screaming, the mom about loses her mom pass by laughing, and The Husband and I nearly pee ourselves with laughter. At the same time, we're trying to console the poor little boy so he'd stop screaming. I just couldn't stop laughing and went into those hysteric gasps.

Well after about the 3rd time I thought ok I'm about to give someone a piece of my mind. I turn around and there behind me is a little boy not sure of his age, but to give you an idea he wasnt quite eye level with my butt and I'm NOT a tall person. Well about the time I whipped around this little boys father saw what he was doing and he was so red in the face. I couldn't do anything but laugh! He apologized and to told him not to worry about it. I felt the same way and was usually nudging my husband. Needless to say the pushing of my bottom everytime the line stopped continued and I laughed harder with each one! When we got up to where it was our turn we stepped aside and let the little one and his mortified dad go ahead of us! Priceless.
