Yes, she 'ignited' the base, but we are talking about people who were either going to maybe or maybe not vote McCain, but their votes sure as hell wasnt going to Obama lol. But she has seemed to turn away most of the moderates in that party and the independents out there. I have NO facts to back any of this up, but I'm thinking in the long run she cost McCain more votes then would probably gain. And yeah, it IS sad the 2nd of command of the free world just got her passport 2 years ago being in her 40's. It speaks to how little Americans in general have any interest to the rest of the world. She keeps spouting off how 'close' Russia is to Alaska, but apparently not close enough to take any interest to actually ever go there and visit I guess. I mean, to *me*, as much of a joke to say she has foreign policy experience because she's so close to it, if she can at least say she's BEEN there or something would kinda least say she knows what she's talking about. I bet McCain shakes his head everyday and thinks to himself, 'What was I thinking?'

She will just revert to saying he's a Maverick, spout off something about energy and the rest will throw their undies on stage if they could.

I mean, I'm not saying she's dumb, you dont get to achieve high level of ANY office without finding a clever way to get there---are your opponent with caught with a sex tape, the point is she doesnt come off as thoughtful or analytical in any sense of the word. The 'joe sixpack' and 'you betcha' routine doesnt bode much confidence to me if she ever had to go a G8 or G20 summit. The Europeans already spent 8 years of laughing at Bush, but at least you took him seriously most of the time when it counted. Palin just looks like someone you would sit down and talk baby tips with, not how she will challenge China's growing economic power vs America's.

Ironically, its because of Palin that I am even talking about this as much as I do these days, so (sadly) you have to thank her too ;D.
