Where did you run into those nasty little buggers? They are amazing insects, but they pack one heckuva punch if you cross their path.
I am visiting my sister in Arkansas. It is just too ridiculous to talk about. I mean, I have been here before and have been warned about fire ants. I have gone to great lengths to avoid them. We were out by the pool and I had even put a picnic blanket under my chair so I could safely put my feet down. My sister walked across the grass barefoot to get a pool toy. I was wearing sandals and walked right where she had been and felt a sting, looked down and they were all over my feet. I think I got 10 bites before I got them brushed off and got my feet into the pool. Today they are not bothering me much as long as I do not try to wear shoes. That would be fine except that we have been going on walks with Emma everyday and she now expects it. We are going camping this weekend so I hope most of the pain is gone by then. They last such a long time.
