According to a good source the Yeti will NOT be working. I have never ridden it so have nothing to compare it to. Not expecting much from the event itself just thought it would be fun to go since we'll be down there. Just a guess but they may announce they are closing it for a while to apply some fixes to the yeti.

Of course the special AP events are a rarity also. Exciting for you since this is your first. Try to arrive to experience day and night. Many people criticize the Yeti is not working and there are certain aspects that ruin all the effects. I look forward to your opinion of EE. Disney's reservation system crashed both days, the original first day registration opened, and, the replacement day. Somehow, by some small miracle, I was able to get through and get tickets. Usually I am the one that doesn't! It is pretty shameful that a company that brags on being at the forefront of technology keeps having these problems for all these years with event registration. Anyway, we West Coast-ers don't often get the chance to attend WDW AP events, so glad that we will be able to go. Makes getting that Premiere Pass just a little sweeter! I haven't heard anything of what they might offer other than riding the ride. And, yes, a good source says that there is more wrong with the Yeti than what we have heard about, so it is unlikely that it will be fully working. Since they are ending evening Magic Hours just two days before we arrive at WDW, glad to be able to visit AK at night.
