The fact that my favorite Disney movie of all time, Hercules, is under worst makes me very unhappy.

I would have preferred if they took some big risks, like calling out Cinderella or The Jungle Book for being mediocre films despite their huge popularity, but I don't really expect Entertainment Weekly to take a particularly insigntful or unpopular stance on these sorts of things.

That being said, several of my favorites are also listed in the "worst". Go figure.

I also think it's strange that the only apparent bad thing about SOTS is that it's not PC, despite all of its technical advancements, characters, and songs, while Snow White was also cites for not being PC and managed to make its way onto the "best" list. From the sounds of it, the reviewer hasn't actually seen SOTS, so I would prefer that they simply left it out of the mix.

I don't think "The Jungle Book" or "The Artistocats" have held up well at all.

"Alice in Wonderland" -- eh. Never been one of my favorites.

I also don't think "Tangled" belongs there.

"Mulan" is good, but not one of the best, in my opinion. "Mulan" and "Hercules" is when the wheels started to fall off in many ways...

"Hunchback" is really good. If they had cut "A Guy Like You" it would almost be perfect.

"The Lion King" "Aladdin" "Beauty and the Beast" "Bambi" "Snow White" "Peter Pan" "101 Dalmatians" "Pinocchio" "Fantasia"-- yep, I'd agree with those.

    On their WORST list...

"Sleeping Beauty"? Really? While it may not be a blockbuster, it's pretty spectacular just from a quality of animation perspective.

"Tarzan" is actually one of my favorites of the modern era. Some fantastic animated sequences.

"Robin Hood" "The Black Cauldron" "Chicken Little" "Home on the Range" "Brother Bear" -- I agree with all those.

"The Great Mouse Detective" -- I have a certain affection for that one, as it sort of marked the comeback of the New Renaissance in Disney Animation.

Watched it for the first time last night...man, that is a rather boring film. Bland music, lackluster story...eh... Oddly enough though, Alice is my favorite dark ride.

I am going to state an un-popular opinion...but Home on the Range is in my top 3 Disney animated films. I know...odd choice, but I love that movie. Especially the music, Bonnie Raitt in a Disney movie is a freaking fantastic idea.

    Here is my Top 5:
    1)Hercules
    2)Fantasia 2000
    3)Home on the Range
    4)The Aristocats
    5)Pocahontas

I know, at least once a year everyone posts their Top 5 lists, but I would love to see everyone else's!

I also find it odd that "Song of the South" was on the animated features list and "Saludos Amigos" and 3 Caballeros was not the live-action list, as they are both on the official Disney animated feature "canon" list. But this is EW we're dealing with.
