I briefly went to the MK and then finished at EC...at MK....40TH MERCH GALORE And....let's talking about the 40th or what little tid bits I'm trying to gather: It will be basically a recognized celebration 25th...something will "happen" On October 1st, but don't expect anything like the 25th or disneyland's 30th or 35th. Now...once "let the memories begin" ends in the late summer...then you'll see an increase in mention of D4*O* (ok that's supposed to me a mickey globe, but w/e) And then D40 will briefly close out the 2011 season. New environmentally friendly bags have been produced featured the big D logo and I and some fanfamilies were carrying them. Also...more D40 merch...ladies you're going to have an awesome collection in 2011.....men...you'll see an expanded "spirit of 71" collection. New postcards with the D40 logo are now being sold in the emporium and on the back of the postcard the "walt disney" world script logo from 1997 - present has been scrapped in favor of the original logo. Let's....even though I think Universal is kicking Disney, the "magic" of Main Street lives on. The repaint job looks amazing, the decorations, the aroma of treats coming from the bakery. Universal's entrance will never beat the magic kingdom's. CoP..saw generous crowds, but a lot of people were leaving and the theater stalled twice. Ughhh. Anyway my theater had to have been atleast 3/4 full. Space Mountain was actually....dark?! Monorails look great with the balloonless look. Saw the flag retreat for the first time, very nice, and toured the train station looking at all the cool crap in there. Only complaints: Still hate the merch found all over the place that you can get at downtown disney....tigger towerls in adventureland?! Orange Bird is gone from the sunshine tree....and citrus swirl no longer exists....well it's now called "orange" and "orange/vanilla" and you can only get it at aloha...but yes is the same taste, same thing. Closed verandah grill....crocks being sold in adventureland......WTF Now let's go to epcot....I and one other family had the whole twopart compartment to ourselves....crowds very light. Epcot's entrance was covered in tarps to protect the magicalz flowerz. Imagination pyramids are color changing! Not happy with the merch carts on the way to world showcase....and didn't the trees on the way to world showcase use to twinkle? SSE is getting old....fast...the e-trade commercialending is soooooooo ....well w/e holidays around the world was awesome....duffy is freaking adorable yet i want to still kill him Illuminations peace on earth was amazing...never seen it before...i teared up by that may have been me crying over my receipt after walking out of the new karamel store. The downside is so many lightbulbs are burnt out on the pavilions....but it's still charming to see them lit up when walking out. Any questions? I'll try to answer.

If they insist on keeping it running with the same old show from the 1990s, they should at least keep the thing running in good condition. So many times I've been on this thing with broken animatronics, etc - and in a small theater show like this, that type of bad show is just not acceptable. Would love to see Disney tackle creating a new version of this show. The concept of the Carousel of Progress is great, but jumping from the 1940s to the "Future" is just ridiculous. It's time they came up with a way to present this concept without completely skipping the second half of the 20th century!

Will be investing in these this weekend. LOL. And yeah, the trees on the WS/FW bridge do twinkle, as do the trees near AA.
