The rooms can be a little tight for families. The private shuttle is handy. I did not like the Fairfield as much but it was totally fine and being close to Mimis was a bonus.

Candy Cane has a really good free breakfast (none at Hojo), Candy Cane has its own free shuttle (although walk is really only 5 min - and Hojo is on Art system). Candy Cane does have smaller rooms than some at Hojo's. However, sometimes you can get the entertainment rate at Hojo's. There are AAA and AARP rates at Candy Cane. Both are nice places, but I think Candy Cane has way more cofortable beds. Staying there as a man would be no issue. It's just a name.
