Still cringing over the cost (no discount for children even), but excited and hope my kids (5 and 8) enjoy it. I'm wondering if anyone that's been to this has a trip report -- my kids are dying to know what kinds of desserts are offered....any pictures out there? Thanks!

Any advice for viewing would be great also!!! 32 more days!!

I have read the deserts are better with balcony sitting. Call 714-781-4400 for either seating, start a few minutes before 8am and keep calling till they answer. Call exactly a month to the day you want reservations. We called November 4 for December 4. Good luck! Carrie

My kids have never seen it because they were scared of the fire and the explosions so now that they are a bit older, I think the time is right. Both kids get easily overwhelmed with the crowds so it is a good solution for us. We usually do a character breakfast but that has become so "routine" for them and also rainforest cafe so I put that $ toward the balcony and then it doesn't seem so $$$. Sometimes when we are there, we just spend money recklessly so I'm sure we would have spent the balcony money on silly things anyway and it will even out in the end for a really special trip. Last time, they did the "Build-A-Bear" and that was around $120 just for 2 so we won't have to do that again-lol.

During our trip, the fantasmic balcony will be the "big" treat. To do fun stuff without killing the budget...we're going on the "discover the magic tour" at no cost because we paid for it on a visit last year and it poured rain the entire time - disney is letting us try it again on this trip for free, I used the mypoints website as much as possible this year and earned $150 in Rainforest Cafe gift cards, I used my Disney visa instead of my debit card and then just paid it off online to earn lots of points on there to cover princess dresses, and when out of town relatives asked about what to get the kids for Christmas I suggested Disneyland, Club Libby Lu, and Build a Bear gift cards -- they're sending them early so that the kids can use them on our trip the first week of December.
