    And...Peter Pan.

Something seemed new about it 2 weeks ago, but I can't say what. Did they update it recently (last 3-5 years)? I haven't ridden it much in my WDW career. It seemed to be under construction every time I was there in the late 70's and early 80's. But, something about it seemed different this time. I can't say what...

    Help...

I haven't noticed anything significantly changed in the last few years for Peter Pan, but I haven't been riding the WDW version much.

Same goes for the Snow White version of the MK. They made it worst by making it less scary, yet, they turned it into a mannequin version of the ride. Just take a ride on any of the other 3 Snow White rides at DL, TDL and DLP and see how truly bad the MK version really is! Plus, the recent redesign of the queue was poorly conceived and have created major vehicle backups inside the ride, due to the fact that SO MUCH space outside the ride is wasted due to the poor placement of the rails in the queue. In other words... they can't stack up vehicles outside the ride itself. Wasted space there.
Snow gets a big fat F in every dept at WDW.

The new Snow White is just awful. And it made my daughter cry.

    But, she's a 'fraidy cat

ORWEN: Also, the Magic Kingdom version tells the story in proper sequence from beginning to end--something I wish the Disneyland version would do, too. In fact, after riding the Florida version, the one in California is a let down.

And I do think the original MK Snow White was even better. Just as MK's Toad was far better than DL's.

Well my dearest ORDDU.. my gripe is not about the actual plot in the ride, but the execution. The other Snow White rides at DL, TDL and DLP excell in most ways...such as lighting, pacing, animated characters and props, special effects, sound.. etc etc. The MK version is simply a big Macy*s window with stationary mannequins and not much else happening. The only bright point in this version is the dwarfs scene in the cottage, which is comparable to the other versions. Other than that... this MK version is a dud, even if it has a more true to the movie plot. Besides... this is supposed to be Snow's *SCARY* adventures... so why not feature the Hag as the main and center character here?

The only thing I would change would be the vocals which sound nothing like the real voices. However had I been more into those Disney readalongs withthe "secondary" casts maybe I'd even like that!

Loved the old Snow White, and it was campier more 1970's too! The green witch in the wacky off kilter environments! How can some of you hate the 1971 Peter Pan but love the 1971 Snow WHite?

ORDDU: (sigh) I still maintain that the WDW's version of Snow White is the best. The fact that Imagineers made an attempt to tell most of the story the way they did is a BIG plus and can hardly be a valid criticism against the ride. Otherwise, you might as well rename it The Wicked Queen's Scary Adventures. But the original intent of the attraction WAS to make it about Snow White and ALL her friends/enemies--not the wicked queen alone.

ORWEN: And having a dark ride which honors the FIRST animated film Uncle Walt ever created is an important attraction to hold on to. If you want to have Mr. Toad back--as I do, too--then have him evict Winnie the Pooh, instead. But NOT the fairest in the Land! Mr. Toad should have stayed where he was and the current Hundred Acre Wood section would have been a perfect area to create a dark ride for that silly ol' bear--instead of what they've got there now!
