NEW Suggestion: (3) Allow making 1 FastPass reservation the DAY BEFORE you want to go. I can't tell you the number of times I've sent a family over to Soarin' wanting to get a FastPass for their whole group, and knowing that they've been "sold out" of FP's since before noon. Suggestion -- Allow guests to book a single FastPass at least the day before they want to go. It's unfair to ask the whole family, Mom, Dad, 4 kids, a baby, and perhaps Grandma ALL to be at the park at 9:01 on a given day and rush right over to Expedition Everest to get a FastPass for that day. A tribe like that would like to go on the ride together at a predictable time, but can't automatically get up that early. Previous Suggestions: (1) Limit of 2 FastPasses per person per park per day. No more. (2) No sharing of FastPasses. You can only use your own 2 FP's.

So, if not, then everyone CAN get at least one FP per day.

I guess I can't say from personal insider knowledge how many days a year attractions regularly run out of FP's. Probably not every day of every year. However, I have personally observed that Soarin', Test Track, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster, & Big Thunder regularly DO run out, before mid-afternoon. At least during busy times.

So, for most guests, they get the sense that they're doing more [ie: getting more for their money] by getting a Fast Pass and then running around the pathways doing something else while virtually 'waiting in line.' My sister takes her two kids and husband to the Disneyland for 3 days. She really powers out the parks man. She's there at rope-drop, she stays until the park closes, she gets the Fast Passes, and she goes -- and by the time they get home, they're practically all in the hospital from exhaustion and dehydration. The kids have all thrown up multiple times, my sister is sick, and her husband sleeps for 24 hours. They have to look at pictures to remember what they did. We used to meet her at the park, but found that we were cramping her style by doing weird things like having dinner and sitting down for an hour. And to each his own! But here's my point -- as people are dropping more and more money to go to WDW and Disneyland, they will want to squeeze every drop of fun they can. Fast Pass is part of that. I think if people had the opportunity to plan their entire days -- from specific times for having breakfast, buying a churro, meeting a character, riding Big Thunder, seeing 'Beauty and the Beast' show, having a picture snapped in front of the castle, and so forth -- they would. I wouldn't. But that's not my idea of fun. But that's whay I see as the future of 'going to a Disney Theme Park'

I think the sentiment that "even if it's busy, everyone who visits a Disney park on a given day can get to the head of at least one long line." That would be a very Disney thing to do. And you could at least look back on that, instead of the memory of waiting in long lines for everything. But it would work best if it was the same for everyone. So everyone gets one (or two) but NO MORE than that. Even if some others do not use theirs. Don't you think?

I believe I also heard elsewhere that Universal had dropped their program where Universal hotel guests got front-of-the-line priveleges during their stay - is that true?

You shouldn't just automatically get a handful of FP's for showing up at the front gate.

I really wasn't happy with the Royal Pacific Hotel that trip, so they'd have to have a great deal on Hard Rock or Portofino Bay for me to go back. Basically, I think WDW might lose guests if they were to allow people to buy their way to the front of the line.
