Sad story. That's not a good way to begin a vacation.

The elderly woman probably had underlying health problem that likely contributed to her death. I understand. The stress of an accident combined with my COPD just might do me in also. It is a chance I take every day when I leave my home. I'm not about to limit my activities just because they might increase my risk of death (I know... drives my wife nuts too). I still LOVE doing roller-coasters where EVERY health precaution says I should not ride. It hasn't killed me yet, and if it ever does, I'm not going to live forever anyway. I won't stop LIVING until I stop living.

The teenager, I'm not so sure. He freaked out because he couldn't get off a bus for two hours? Thank God he was never a passenger stuck on an airplane at the gate. He would probably be dead. Of course I'm sure Disney's deep pockets had nothing to do with it.

From that report it didn't say why the car was either slowing down or coming to a stop, but there are times when there are no options and that bus should have been going either slow enough or with enough space to not have run into it, if that is what happened. I don't know but it sure looks like the bus hit the car, the car didn't back into it. No excuse will be good enough, someone is dead and someone wasn't paying attention. There more then likely is a clear path to fault in this.

You don't have to be a bus driver to know that - that rule applies to ANY driver.

I have had where pedestrians come out of their yard at 3 in the morning and walk in front of my car. things happen, and unless you were there you don't know all of the details.

The teenager thing seems awfully ridiculous. I mean, I don't know if he was 13 or 19, but I don't see how being on a bus for two hours is that hard.
