Favorite WDW Place to Be at Night

    For me, it's Epcot, well, at least when everything in Epcot was open late. But, it still has a majestic charm at night. I love how all of the countries in World Showcase are lit, as well as all of the futuristic architecture of Future World. It just gives everything a certain pleasant, otherworldly charm. And watching Illuminations:ROE certainly doesn't hurt, either!

    And a little bit eerie, too, due to the lack of lights compared to the other parks. But, I too loved it at night. Everest at night is absolutely magnificent!

    Right now, WS & Main Street USA are my favorite nighttime places, but I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to my first DAK nighttime visit in about 2 weeks. :)

    Up in the primitively exotic dwellings of The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. Being up there in the dark at nighttime makes it feel more secluded, adventuresome, and "real". Add to that the dark, mysterious murky waters of the jungle river, the lush, thick vegetation which extends out beyond what your "night vision" can see, and when you turn around you can see Cinderella's Castle and other landmarks of the park.

    I love to sit on the terrace at the back of the Animal Kingdom Lodge or one of the balconies in the savannah view rooms at AKL. It is quiet, peaceful and it really seems like one is in Africa. A few of the animals are moving around at night and you can watch them. It is one of my favorite ways to end the day.

    I'm also a fan of the neon signage and lighting at the Disney/MGM Studios on Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd, especially before the "HAT" was added. (Although, I have to admit that the hat has some impressive lighting effects of its own, too. I just wish it were elsewhere in the park, possibly as the entrance to another "E-Ticket" adventure!)

    But prior to that, I'd say World Showcase, DAK when open, anywhere at DAK Lodge or WL, the beach at the Poly with fireworks going off, or a late dinner and drinks at the California Grill.
