Ferry Boat Crashes in MK Dock

I am just now hearing that the Ferry crashed into the MK Dock. It hasn't hit the News networks yet so no word on injuries. And there are few details about it. More later.

The boats really don't move that fast so I can't see many people injured if any. A Staten Island ferry "hard-docked" earlier this year and had only 10 people injured (very minor injuries)so I would assume this would be less catastrophic.

That's why I put the word story in quotes, since it was seemingly a non-event. However, apparently it was enough of an event for disney to comment to the media about it.

I guess the news on this will take its sweet time to get out. There were more then 3 people injured. There were 2 guest taken out on strechers. The people were sent to two local hospitals. I was one of the people on the boat when it got to the dock, it just never stopped it kept going and it threw everyone a good 5-10 feet back.

Well, the given that the report said there were only 20 guests on the boat at the time of the incident, I would guess that 3 injuries would be about right. Obviously, Disney will stress that the injuries are minor, but they were still bad enough to be taken to a hospital, so they couldn't have been that minor.

Between this and the monorail stuff, the buses are looking better and better every day, no?

A lot of times people will be taken to the hospital if there is any reason to believe they might be more injured then it appears. Especially the elderly, pregnant, etc.

I can easily see two people being taken away for "possible" neck injury where there is none.

If the stuff is wrong, could you give us some details to let us know what really happened. As it stands now, there doesn't really seem to be much information on it (probably intentionally by Disney), so any other reliable information would be nice. the ferry was traveling from magic kingdom to transportation cent when the boat was going to dock it ran right into the dock and sent people on the ferry flying 18 people were injuried, 2 were taken off on back boards and strechers, others in wheel chairs they were taken to two local hospitals. I was one of the people injuried when the ferry hit the dock.

What was your injury? What has Disney done to make it better? I don't mean to give you an inquisition, but we have had people in the past pretend to be a part of a situation that they were nowhere near, and they only gave the most vague accounts of what happened. I'm not saying that I don't believe you, but the lack of information makes me question it a little.

mine is a strain and sprain of my knee and calf when the trash can hit back of my leg well i was holding my one year old up my mother in law went flying a good ten feet and hit her head on the trash can and then hit the floor

Odd, I wonder what would make this happen. I mean these boats go back and forth 24, 7, 365 so I just can't imagine that the driver just overshot to this extent. Has anyone heard if it was a mechanical failure.
