    1) very poor seating(sorry folks but for a supposedly "E Ticket" show I expect individual cushioned seats and not metal bench rows)

    2) lowsy, low budget show building with a portable stage as if it is a traveling circus. The main entrance allowed outside light to creep in under the doors.

    3) No coherent story or theme throughout the show and "random" singing, dancing and acrobats-- a hodge podge of chaos.

    4) the stage engineers or moving crew were not dressed appropriately(black attire with head-sets while mingling with the colorful performers is bad show-- really bad!-- their presence was a huge distraction)

    5) very weak AA's especially that horrific rendition of Pumba--- the tiki birds over at the Magic Kingdom are far better.

This attraction is the worst indoor Disney show I have ever seen-- by far.

    Just a thought ...........

comparing it to the Broadway show is really apples and oranges.....no different than the Beauty & the Beast show at the Studios.....no comparison to the Broadway version...but really, can there be ?

Also, quite the different audience...look around where you were seated...do you see theatre goes who are going to be quiet for 15 minutes ( let alone 2 hours ) so you could actually hear the play ?

The floats were originally from Disneyland's Lion King parade, and it was built as a temporary filler. I think they started working on the show less than 6 months before the park opened. If you went into the theater with that in your head, you came out surprised, especially compared to some of the stuff that had been on the drawing board for a couple years, like the Jungle Book show.

Go see the shows at TDR for an eye opener on that matter.

It was never meant to be a take off of the Broadway show where huge puppets were used. It is an entirely different show that only meant to bring aspects of the movie to life for the average family with kids that loved it. This is honestly the first time I have heard anyone say that they didn't like it. And by the way, I recently saw the touring company of Oklahoma and those men in black with headsets showed up there as well. I hated that performance. I guess it's all in taste.

But once you get pass the poor seating and less than glamorous surroundings, the show itself is ok. Furthermore, if it makes some of you feel better, the seating situation for the Legend of the Lion King at HKDL is no better, even though the show itslef got a makeover and is IMO a nicer production than the 6 yr old DAK version. Hopefully in the future, they will update the DAK show to compliment the HKDL version, which is quite different than DAK's.

I will hopefully be getting to DLP sometime next summer ( do you recommend any in particular since I will be there on business so my time will be limited I am sure ) --

I know they can do better, how much is the question. I also know audiences can behave better and have just commented on that re: recen visit to new Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL -- shows were well attended with lots of kids, yet quiet and respectful...

While DLP's shows have been truly horrific in the past (unlike TDR's wondrous history of theme park extravaganzas), I am pleased to say they have begun to catch up with the pack. If you do have time to spend at DLP, you *MUST* see their "Lion King Celebration" show at the Videopolis Stage...itis simply the very best Lion King show of any of the Disney parks. Get tickets for their priority seating as early as possible and for the english version (they also present a french version). Also do catch "Tarzan Encounter" a fab fab show as well. The daytime parade can be skipped if you don't have time but do catch "Fantillusion!" parade at night if it's playing for a bit sampling of what this once much bigger parade was like when it played at TDL. Last but not least... I did enjoy the Pecos Bill dinner show at Disney Village. Over at the Studios... Cinemagique is not to be missed, and Motors Action! (same as MGM's, see if you have not seen MGM's version which I think it's a tad better over Paris')
Those are my recommendations for DLP.

I have seen the stunt show at MGM, it was better than I was anticipating...

But yes, it's a little chaotic, but just watching the show, the performers are pretty darned good. Let's be honest, it's pretty much a kids show, and it does it's job keep you entertained.

Unless they have changed the name, I am sure you mean the Buffalo Bill dinner show.

I agree it's a good show, but then it should be, since it's an extra-cost option, unlike the park shows which are included in the cost of a passport.

This isn't a Broadway show. It would be ridiculous to make it like the Broadway show. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The benches were comfortable enough for the amount of time you're there. And I do think it's easily the best show at any Disney park.
