This past year was really busy for it and even though I've been there in the past for that day it seemed more chaotic than usual. This past year they were sending Guests backstage to get up Main Street while previously we had been able to walk up the street behind the roped off areas. Maybe the crowds this year were bigger? Maybe they just changed Guest control procedures...

Unless you're there to see the parade and want to be in the television crowd, it will likely be a miserable experience. When they film the parade it's not just "do the parade and film it" It's do one segment of the parade many times and film it. Back everything up and start that part again. Then move to the next segment. No, back up and do it again. And again.

You stand there and clap for things that aren't really necessarily there, pretending to have a good time. I don't enjoy that at all. How about - you have something I can enjoy, and then I'll clap! I don't even like watching the Christmas parade on TV, it just seems very fake to me.

Don't go to the filming, but don't let it keep you away from the other parks; we had a blast!
