But if you are wanting the feel like the resorts you will have that. You can't just go down stairs and get a coke or buy the last minute gift or snack. Make sure you rent a golf cart it will come in handy. the gift shop/shop post is a good one but you will have to travel to it. Enjoy the quiet, it is away from all of the craziness of the parks.

We were driving across the us, so weren't sure when we'd get there, so we didn't get reservations. We ended up having to split up our stay. We stayed two nights at POFQ, then two nights at the campground, then two nights in Tampa (Fri and Sat), then two more nights at the campground. The rv sites were pretty expensive, around $50 a night. The only other campground we stayed at that was anywhere near that was one right outside of DC. However, they were very nice - spacious, wooded, relatively quiet. The pool and the minimart were fairly close by, and the bus service was fine. One afternoon we went to the pool and the kids did crafts and then played dodge ball. Plus there are campfire activities at night. The golf carts are pretty expensive to rent. I wouldn't recommend it unless you were planning to mostly hang around the resort, rather than head to parks or DTD.
