We were wanting to go on a 7 day cruise but they are not having any 7 day cruises that summer ( just the 10 &11 day European cruises). So now we have 3-4 extra days in florida to figure out what to do. We have been to DL many times and are very comfortable with it. I am unsure if I want to go to WDW- especially if it is just for 3-4 days. I'm worried that we will be frustrated/overwhelmed with so much to do in so few days. What else might we do in Florida if we don't go to WDW? Right now they really want to stay a night at the Nick hotel, but will they want to when they are 18 months older? Are there any other hotels that have great enough pools that the boys would want to hang out there all day? We are also looking at Universal Studios. I am very concerned about the crowds. We are looking at staying at one of the onsite hotels just so we could get the FOTL pass. But it doesn't look like they have any rooms that hold 6. I'm not sure DH would go for the expense of 2 rooms ( especially if we can't get a room for less than $200 a night). DH has a cousin who lives very close and he suggested he ( or one of the kids if they want to) stays with her so that we only have 5 in our room. But then he wouldn't have a FOTL pass. I saw that you could buy some kind of other pass to bypass lines ( can't remember what it is called). If we bought him one, would he be able to be with us? I'm sorry about all the questions, I am just a bit overwhelmed. Good thing I have 17 months to plan! I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

It was gross, and took several phone calls to get our room moved. For a newer resort, the fact that the rooms don't have balconies was a disappointment. Animal Kingdom Lodge at WDW is beautiful, but if they have any rooms that sleep 6 they are probably really expensive. If you could find a good deal on mousesavers.com, you might be able to get two rooms for a little over $100 a night. When we stayed there in August 2004, the parking lot view rooms were $124 a night. We got our savanna view room for $194 a night. There is a lot to do in the resort, and the pool is great! Fort Wilderness has cabins that sleep 6 people. The resort is great, but the pool is only OK. The cabins have a bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds, and there is a murphy bed in the living room. We stayed at Liki Tiki resort in January 2003, and they have two bedroom condos that sleep 6. They have a pretty cool water play area with a great pool. You can find them at likitiki.com

They were upset when we had to shorten it from 7 nights to 4 nights! I went to WDW world for 1 day when I was in college and my husband went the year it first opened. Does that count? lol

On one hand you can do a park a day (I Dont know about the Crowds that time of year). If you except the fact that your not going to see everything. Or if you choose Universal you can have 4 days to do 2 parks. Maybe go to Sea World.

My DH and I went 2 both parks in October without the kids. There are more rides there that little kids can't ride but it's still nice. The hotels there are amazing, and the City Walk is way better than DTD at WDW. Seaworld would be a nice option also if you have visited one recently. I can understand your fears in regards to being overwhelmed at WDW with only 3-4 days to do it.
