I don't remember it being that bad, and I'm usually an off-season Disneyland/WDW fan. We're going this summer (my kids have only been in January) but I think we'll just keep reminding ourselves, "this IS the happiest place on earth, this IS the happiest place on earth," no matter how crowded it is! We were there last year during that time period and it was HOT and crowded which made it seem even hotter-but you are right-it IS the happiest place and keep pushing the liquids and take shady breaks and nap during the afternoon and you will have a better chance of having a great trip.
