I did TiVo so I'll have to watch it when I get a chance. What was funny was that my sister saw the ad for it and even told me last night "I was going to tell you about that but I forgot."

*pats poohbear on the head and gives her a cookie* Thanks anyway. :)

And now...are there any other Villain fans besides me who does get a little tired of seeing the "Core 10" all the time? This would be Hook, Hades, Scar, Chernabog, Jafar, Maleficent, Ursula, Cruella and the two Queens.

Ironically, most of that group are my favorites, but mix it up a little bit... throw in Ratigan or the Horned King sometimes. What about The Headless Horseman, Madam Mim or Shan Yu? McLeach and Medusa even... and um...yeah, even the Wolf, when he appears on screen for the first time drooling and growling and leering at Peter. ;)

I knew very little about cake decorating, but basically each decorator made a base of cake and/or Rice Krispie treats, then covered that with fondant to smooth it out and give it color. When the cakes were finished, the Captain Hook one was by far the best. I mean it was amazing looking, with extraordinary detail, but I had a problem with it. The only part of it that was a cake was the base of the crocodile and the treasure chest. The rest was fondant and molded chocolate. Of course, in the audience poll everyone loved that, but I didn't vote for that one. I felt like it didn't follow the guidelines of the contest.. it was supposed to be a cake, not a molded chocolate sculpture. It was gorgeous, but it was very little cake. Personally, I voted for Ursula ;)

I thought the Ursula cake made the best use of cake too. I've seen her on other challenges on the Food Network and she makes really beautiful wedding cakes.

I doubt these cakes are actually served to eat but does anyone else have a problem with all the hand touching on the fondant? I don't think I'd eat a fondant frosted cake unless I knew they wore gloves while making it.

I did see the end earlier though; it was the part where they judges were critiquing each of the chefs. I felt bad when Scar was beheaded, and I didn't quite care for the look of the Ursula cake. I barely saw the Jafar cake and it didn't look that great either. Cruella was nice, but it was Hook who had the visual thing going. I liked the fact that the chef included Smee and Tic-Toc, and was it me, or was Tic-Toc's tail animated?

Hook's "victory" appearance at the end was amusing, but I do hope they re-design his current look.
