Went to Journey to Center of the Earth and 20K. Did Sinbad then Little Mermaid Land. Had a Sausage Bun (like pig in a blanket only better) at cart by Indy. Got Fastpass for Indy and rode Raging spirits. (Just like Paris Version only better theeming and ran foward) Stood in line for standby Aquatopia and for Storm Rider (35 minute wait). Did Journey to the Center of the Earth again with extra fastpasses from younger family that didn't use them. Did Indy, did Sinbad, did Carosell, did lunch/dinner to avoid 6pm crowds. Did Bravasimo! Did the Gondola ride and then shopped till we dropped. Took the Monorail back to Bayside Station to Hilton. 2nd Day Disney October 11 2005. Tokyo Disneyland. Arived late and were AMAZED how crowded it was! Pooh was 2 hour wait. EVERYTHING had a line including the bathrooms and the vender carts. We did get pooh and POTC and western railroad. We did see the Pumkin Party Parade and did Autopia and Toon Town. by 3PM we were overwelmed and went back to Hilton to swim. Disneyland was INSAINE that day. Did some shopping etc at Ikspiri. Then ended the second day. 3rd day October 12th 2005 Disney was back to normal and we were able to fit in a lot of atactions. We enjoyed the Eletrical Parade (CA version on steroids) Wonderful day wonderful park. Enjoyed every minute of it. If I had to do it all over again I would have spent a little more time at DisneySea.

About 5 years ago, you could've went during the same time and basically had the park to yourself . Also, it sounds like TDS wasn't that bad. To be honest, TDS is really my favorite out of the two because TDL, as nice as it is, is just another MK park in a line of MK parks. TDS is just something completely different and grand and a place I can just walk around in and enjoy all day. It's just such a nice park to be in and REALLY inviting . Also, the fact that it has less crowds than TDL is even more of a bonus because it has all that eye candy and you don't have to fight to see it all so much . Questions: Did you ride Pooh and Haunted Mansion Holiday? If so, what did you think? Best attractions at TDL and TDS? Worst attractions at TDL and TDS? (Man, I REALLY want to go now and I was just there 3 months ago )
Originally Posted By RCCRUISER Questions: Did you ride Pooh and Haunted Mansion Holiday? If so, what did you think? Pooh was a HOOT! We stood in line for over 2 hours because fast pass return was around 8:45 PM and we wanted to use fast pass for the other attractions. It was a totally imersive ride designed especially for the insainely popular Pooh characters of Japan. In the USA the newer pooh ride as a limited appeal with a simular track ride that would be found in Alice in Wonderland, Pinochio or Snow White rides. Not in Tokyo though they went ALL OUT! No expence was spared with the GPS trackless Hunny Pot ride vehicles that can run independantly or in a linear motion depending on how the random computer program decides which direction your ride vehicle will take. Yeah it starts off the same way on a blustery windy day with audioanimitronic characters who have a full range of motion (moving facial features etc.) But everything changes after you exit the Tigger Bounce room and enter Poohs delightfull Honey dream of Hefelumps and Woosils (sp?). The ride vehicles separate and dance independantly spinning and circling in different configurations! I've never experienced a ride like that before! My kids were laughing with that pleasant surprise that was totally unexpected. It was clearly my favorite ride out of the entire park. Hauted Mantion Holiday line was beyond Insane. We didn't have the patience with 2 small childeren to brave out the 2+ hour wait. Thats why we wanted to stay longer :-(... Best attractions at TDL and TDS? By far my favorite ride was Pooh's Honey Hunt. My second favorate was surprisingly Splash Mountain. They have finally perfected the story line (albeit in Japaneese) but it is the best one I have ever been on. For Originality it would have to be Journey to the Center of the Earth. I only wish there was more of it to see since the lava monster is breifly visited before a rapid and exilerating exit out through the volcano that will take your breath away. It was by far my favorite DisneySea Ride. I know I will get some reaction but I enjoyed Sinbad more than Indiana Jones just because it was Original and the new audio Anamitronics of the new generation of small world like figures. It is quite long in durration and very colorfull. With a more widely understood Classical story that is more Disneylike they could of made it an out of the ball park home run. It seemed like a ride more fitting of Universal Islands of Adventure than a Disney park. Maybe they will make a new animated full feature film and bring more of a Disney feel to such a tramatic storyline that scared my 5 year old daughter. It worked for Peter Pan and I'm sure they could do it with Sinbad too. Worst attractions at TDL and TDS? Is there such a thing as a bad or worst attraction? That is hard to say. Art is in the eye of the beholder and I appriciate the lighthearted animated figures of Disney. The Cast members are what bring life into this park and give it life. How could I not enjoy all of the attractions with such enthousasm? Ok I'll pick one. The Sailing ship Columbia was a dissapointment. We have been to the Queen Mary in Long Beach and were expecting something on the same level as the Haunted Cruise Ship show we saw in CA. It stands out so much that everyone is drawn to it like the Mattahorn or the Castle or other attractions. The interior of the ship is done very well but not what we expected. Another disapointment would be the Eletrical Railway. It seemed like a pleasant ride from no where to no where in peticular. It was fun but I was left thinking... ok why did they put this in the park? Granted there is the Train restrictions etc but it would have been nice to have a ride lead to the entrance of the park from the furthest reaches for those with sore feet. It was still delightfull but not very functionable for transportation. With that said I would take the electric railway over any attraction at Disneys California Adventure because no expense was spared in the Theemeing. It is the most beautiful park I have ever seen and we have been to Disney and Universal Florida, Disneyland Paris and many others. Really it is hard to pick on such a monumental effort such as DisneySea. We loved it.

It was Super Clean but pales in comparison to the California Version. For me it is just a show of respect and appriciation that the Japaneese have been taught. I'll take a clean working ride anyday over a dirty broken ride with dead plants, brown patches and pealing paint at the other Magic Kingdoms around the world.
Originally Posted By WorldDisney Wow, great comments RCCRUISER . Actually I agree about the Electric Railway not being very good or useful. I think its cool to look at, but unless you're REALLY tired, its not much for transportation for me. However, Aquatopia stands, for me, as the most useless/pointless ride there. Especially with the techonology they were using, they could've done so much more as evidenced by Pooh. I like the Columbia ship though, especially a cool place to watch the fireworks if you're not watching BraviSEAmo. Its just a cool place to relax although I never ate inside. To me, its the embodiment of TDS going the 'extra mile'. Seriously, they could've just built a nice little building there with a restaurant/bar and left it there and it would've been fine. But no, they wanted to span the theme even more, added a show with it and just immersed you even more. I agree about Sinbad being one of the best attractions there too . Which is why its so great with it's constant 5 minute wait . I remember when I first went to TDS and was planning the trip like the invasion of Iraq and I KNEW Sinbad will be a 2+ hour wait automatically (this was about 2 weeks after the park was opened and unlike DCA, actually had long lines everywhere ). I just thought, like the people who built it, that this was going to be one of the most popular rides and I got that simply because it was a long drawn out dark ride and just sounded good based on the description. Imagine my surprise when I got there and the 2 hour wait I was expecting was only 5 minutes all freaking day . Can you say 'giddy'? Its too bad its not bringing in more people, but yeah, its a great attraction regardless. Like I told a former member here, DCA would be LUCKY to have this thing in their park and probably be one of the most popular rides there, but at TDS, its looked at as second hand. Bizarre. The details in this park is simply AMAZING!!! God man, like I said, you're excitment for it really makes me want to go again and I was just there in August. Believe it or not, I was actually a little 'bored' of it last time (DISNEYED out lol, I was in L.A. seeing the DLR for about 5-6 days and there less than a week later). But TDR is a place that you can go over and over again and just fall in love with the place like the very first time. Make sure not too wait too long before you go again. If you ever decide to go to HKDL, just change your plans and go back to TDR instead . OR, do both!!! That's the great thing about it since they aren't that far apart and you probably can just get a ticket from the U.S. to Hong Kong with a free stopover to Tokyo and stay there before you hit Hong Kong . Not a bad deal if you can plan it right.

Must be a cultural thing from the Japaneese Single wiman that still live with their parents, or something else. Sinbad would have been a hit in the US parks for sure IMO.
