It's an apples to oranges comparison. I have little doubt she would substantively debate McConnell under the table. I doubt she could win though. She'll be branded a Hollywood, liberal elitist in a very conservative state, and the media would be so focused on the spectacle circus of her candidacy that few people will take a serious look. Not to mention the Super PAC money and incumbency advantages from with McConnell benefits greatly (see David Mayhew). In short, it more of a pipe dream in my opinion.
