Basically very similar to what was offered 2 years ago.

This year, the voucher MUST be used by the person named on the mailer, and ID must be shown.

A one day ParkHopper valid between October 20th through December 18th, 2008.

The mailer has Goofy on the cover.

They went to a few different selected marketing groups, a common one is former AP holders who failed to renew in the last year or so.

I'm right there with ya Amynleroy! I use every opportunity I can to vent about us Northern Californians being "shunned" by Disney :(

So there promos are more to make you extend your stay with extra days, etc.

As for the current mailers, there is a new one coming out this week specifically for prior AP holders....

    <a href="http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/monday-in-the-parks/761-10-6-08-monday-parks-news-photos-tips.html" target="_blank">http://micechat.com/forums/blo...ips.html</a>

    >>A new version, also with Goofy on the front is being mailed to former Annual Passholders who failed to renew. In the version I saw today, Disney is offering a free Blockout pass if you get a new AP using the name and address and photo on file. You can get any of the four AP's, and if you decide to get a Premium, you will receive a $40 Gift Card as a substitute for the Blockout Pass (that you won't need). All AP's are at full main gate price (no renewal discount). So you might keep a lookout for this offer if you qualify.<<

Must be used by November 26th, 2008.

If the offer for the ParkHopper says the Name or Address much match, and your sister lives with you, then yes. Have her take her ID to the window with the voucher. But the ticket issued has the specific name of the person on the ID printed on the ticket, and the CM's at the turnstiles are supposed to check the ID to compare it to the name (to prevent reselling of the offer (aka eBay).

First of all, I have not been a annual pass holder since the early 80's.

I got the first one at my residence. I thought it was odd, it was all in Spanish. I am hispanic, but not bilingual at all, so I don't get that.

Then, I was at my mother's house yesterday and there was another one there for me, in my name at my parent's address!

What in the? At first I thought I got the coupon at my home because I just registered myself and my kids at the Disney website for the birthday club this year. I have a 12 and a 2 year old. I figured maybe they were targeting me because of the two year old..but then I got the certificate at mom's house, which I have no idea why they'd have me tied to my moms. I've never had any dealings with Disney at my mother's house.

So strange. Now, I have these two free passes (which, btw, I am elated about..thats worth what, about $160?)..and I'm hoping my husband can use the one in my name with our home address, and then I can use the one with my name, with mom's address.

    Think that would work?

I sure wish I knew how they got my info though.

The gal also told me my husband can not use the pass, she said since it's in my name, he can't use it. But I don't think that's true because the certificate says the name or ADDRESS has to be a match, and the certificate says "family of Yvonne XX". He has the same address on his drivers license, so I think that should be valid, wouldn't it?
