He explained that this is a trial promotion to see how it takes off! Basically, the meal ticket plans that run about $30.00 are now going to be included in your resort reservations during slow periods. This may be in response to Universal's "All you can eat" for $20.00 promotion.

It seems that the theme park wars are really heating up in Orlando!! Now, if they were to only lower ticket prices....

    2 questions:

How is WDW over labour day (Hurricanes excluded) crowds, weather, etc...

How popular was this promotion last year>?

Also, from what I've heard, they got a good response last year with the free dining, which is why they are repeating it.

They fill rooms in the slowest time of the year, made worse by the slew of storms we've had the past few years, and folks who can travel at a time school is starting get a big bargain.

It also allows Disney's Food and Beverage Dept. to slim down menu offerrings because almost every full-serve restaurant will be packed during the promo.

Labuda... Since you have done the meal plan already, can you give us the background on how it works.. $30 for anywhere is Disney per person.. does that $30 have to be used in one place.. Please explain if you can... Thanks...

But, istead we got out for under $20 (we had some of the best service we've ever had eve though we were eating free, and tipped accordingly at some places to show how darn much we DID appreciate it!).
