I will definiteley need a good night's sleep after a full day in the park, yet it would be so wonderful to look out the window and see Disneyland.
Any info on this subject would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The DL view rooms do NOT face the freeway. They do overlook Harbor Blvd, but Harbor isn't *nearly* as busy as the Interstate, which is on the other side.

On the other hand, we did have a "freeway view" room in Jan. and I didn't even hear the traffic. But, like I said, I'm a moderatly deep sleeper.

Main Point: Backing up to the interstate and having a Disney View room at HoJos are mutually exclusive.

If it's that bad for you, I'd recommend bringing an iPod and putting on some soothing tunes. I usually fall asleep to the TV, so perhaps that's also why I don't notice it as much.

I'd guess it would be worst there due to the skylights.

I've been in building 2 on the freeway "wing" (I don't think any of those rooms actually face the freeway) and didn't find it too noisy to sleep in the room. Maybe I'm just too tired after a day at DL!

We didn't think it was noisy at all.

Hope you have a great trip!

We now stick with a HOJO view of DL from the top floor. Sure there is some traffic noise (unavoidable on Harbor), but it is fairly muffled.

    Good luck!

I have experienced no noise problems from the rooms we have stayed in. Like Stacers said if you open the balcony door the noise is there shut it and it goes away. :) The only complaints I had was DH snoring. ;P Of course we never sleep without a fan and that helps with any noise. The other hotels on harbor (we have stayed at a few) are not really quiet either. Think noise from people traffic as the rooms are outside cooridors and small properties allow you to hear garbage trucks and such.

Anyway, the freeway view in Bldg. 1 was noisy. I didn't mind because I paid very little and had to get up at o' dark thirty for the CHOC walk.

I've never had noise in Bldg. 1 facing DL. I wasn't near the top, though.

Never had a noise issue in Bldg. 2, either as I always faced the pools.

BUT: two things. Ask for a less quiet room now, just email and ask if you can have the quietest one for the level you've reserved. Then, when you arrive and you find your room not to your liking, call down to the front desk. The Hojo's people will do all they can to find you something suitable.
