We watched them on New Years Eve day when they laid the brown carpet and replaced all the furnishings in the lobby, it was quite fasinating to watch them unwrapping all the new furniture & cushions, they looked like a bunch of ants hard at work. Concierge told us they would take 6 months to craft a new carpet like the old one but it sounds like it took much longer then they thought it would.

However the cast member in concierge seemed to think there was full spare carpet always in storage for emergencies but I think this can't be so as it's taken so long to replace. Maybe they only had a few squares in storage not the entire area of the lobby?? Either way it's wonderful it will be back on display when we get there for Christmas! Yipee!
