GCH Refillable Mugs have been cancelled

    They were supposed to be refillable but only for your length of stay at the GC. Problem was that Whitewater is only hop, skip and jump from the GC entrance to DCA and plenty of people would march in there and get free refills.

    That is to bad we loved getting those mugs and being able to hang out at the pool and going back for soda refills or some coco or coffee in the AM. We would get new mugs every trip so needless to say we have a poot load of them. LOL

    Okay, double checked with Wendebird. The bar code scanners are on the refillable mugs at Typhoon Lagoon. They were given mugs as part of the Dreams promotion.

    Both WDW water parks have had barcodes for scanning mugs for a few years now. NONE of the resort hotels have them because the back-up that would occur during peak dining hours would be horrendous. FWIW, Fantasia Gardens used to have refillable mugs but scrapped them when they switched from fountain drinks to bottled drinks.
