Gold and jewels in the pavement in Agrabah

    There's all these shards of broken pottery, jewels, and precious stones embedded in the concrete walks there. As though a stolen treasure chest had broken open when being absconded with, and the jewels and such got trampled into the pavement.

    It's really a cool effect. Rather simple one, too.

    I'd love to. I've only visited Tokyo Disneyland twice for an afternoon and evening. When I was there TDS was being build and was just about to open. You could see it over the fence, but I've never been inside.

    Killed me.

    Missed it by 2 months.

    I have to admit I've never noticed them either -- maybe if the ride wasn't so jammed in there, where there are always crowds ( especially in peak times) - I would get to see the ground -- I will look in June now...

    I was thinking that they probably have the same thing at DL in the Aladdin storytime area and I have just never noticed! Can anyone tell me if there is stuff in the pavement at DL?

    Most people don't notice them. Twin size strollers and days old dirt covers them. Then kids touch them with bare hands.
