Sorry to burst your bubble but ...

<<Remember when all the parks had EXCLUSIVE rides that justified visiting all the different parks? I don't want the same thing on both coasts.>>

Actually that's not true. Even back in the good old days, it wasn't true.

Attractions are largely cloned in some form or other and from a business (and even creative) standpoint it makes sense.

Go back to MK history. When the park was being conceived, the Imagineers wanted Fantasyland to have dark rides based on Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins and Ichabod Crane. Roy O. Disney stepped in and told them to duplicate what had been successful at DL.

Later the much talked about Western River Expedition and Thunder Mesa complex was planned for Frontierland, but the park opened and everyone wanted to know 'where are the Piartes?' So Card`Walker had them expedite getting a PoC installed at the MK.

Even today, what is the biggest complain about HKDL? That there are barely any signature Disney attractions.

So, I don't think everything has to be unique. Besides, in most cases the attractions are different depending on what park they're in. Very few rides are exact copies.

<<Hollywood Studios should get stuff like Nightmare Before Christmas, Ratatouille, Muppets, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars stuff. >>

The Studios will likely see Nightmare in the form of a dark ride, Ratatouille is now in doubt since it's out for DCA (although since it is possible for Paris, it could still happen), Muppets will soon only be in Florida, and Star Wars is going to have a vastly increased presence in DL's Tomorrowland and likely Florida's Studios park too.

It just makes too much sense to build one attraction that is totally unique to a resort.

But you still see it in things like Everest, Mission Space, Test Track and the godawful Stitch's Great Escape.

I've applied a few times to no avail. I'll just keep my engineering skills active elsewhere. I design those fancy game systems you see in Las Vegas.

My party was eating in the Germany Pavallion last night in EPCOT and seated at a table with a family from California. Turns out the dad was an Imagineer for DL as well as TDL. So KJ and I were asking him all our questions about DL's Tomorrowland, such as why is the 2nd floor of the Arcade next to Space Mountain abandoned? According to the Imagineer several of the buildings in DL where damaged from Rocket Rods. Seems to me a good place to start in DL Tomorowland will be to fix or replace some of the buildings. Window dressing in Tomorrowland at DL doesn't replace the abandonded areas in that section of the park.

Dennis, at this point, I am talking strictly of EPCOT.

But no one has watched the movie at DL since it was put in, so I'd expect it to be very soon with all the changes coming to T-Land.

As to DLP ... no clue. But I'll ask around.

I'm truly hoping the Western Way development (AKA ... the white trash parkway) never gets started. It's a terrible move for WDW.

Actually, they have some new Halloween-themed cups now. Nice. Except they have DL's castle on them and the 'Disney Parks' logo.

    Man, you are connected!

Spirit I know you said a while back that Backlot Tour was out of there, so I guess Cars would be a good match. I guess they have enough room to put a really good attraction in. I really would rather have seen Cars replace the Indy Speedway in the MK, but I guess this will be good also. The Tour has been chopped to a miserable representation of what it use to be.

Body Wars simulators were identical clones (minus REX) of the Star Tours simulator, and they opened only a few months apart from each other.

I say, as long as the ride, theming, and show are good enough, bring on Indy and Carsland!
