My sister and I use any combo of raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries - a round berry. We do not use strawberries. They become to mushy after a day or two. Use one package of strawberry jello as the bottom layer, set the jello and mix in the assortment of berries. Make sure you drain ALL the excess water from the berries. We use a 8" x 12" baking dish. Put in refrigerator overnight to set. Day 2: Spread sour cream evenly over the set berries in jello. Let set overnight. Day 3: Spoon do not pour another berry jello - we use raspberry jello over the sour cream. If your pour it in you will break the sour cream and have a runny mess. Put back in the refrigerator and let set. You can do this Thanksgiving morning if you are having an afternoon or evening dinner.
