I would really like to follow one of my old administrators who is opening up a new school but he has a limit on the number of people he can take from our school and he's reached his limit. It's SO frustrating He would really like me there, there's several positions that I would love, and I have really good friends going there as well. But the district won't let me go just because I taught at his previous school, even though it's open transfer season. I have a couple of interviews lined up, one on Monday for a kindergarten position and one on Thursday at a magnet school. I also have a few calls in to some other schools for first and second grade positions. Anyway, I'd like some good thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc. this week!

The combination of working with the staff, administration and parents added to "just" the daily job of teaching can be a real crusher. It seems that when they move to a new position or district the job they are hired for isn't the position they end up filling, because numbers change and teachers move. So, my hope for you this week is that one of the teachers who has committed to going with your "old" administrator has a change of plans and you get the call that he needs you If not, I hope that your interviews are a breeze

I'm nervous already!

As you know, the kids I see cannot have someone who doesn't know what they're doing. I accepted, and it's been a wonderful move. So go with your heart. If they offer you the job tomorrow, be honest, let them know you have another interview, and you'd like to wait until you've given them an opportunity. Then choose whichever feels right for you. Keep us informed! We'd love to know how it's going.
