I still can't understand the reasoning behind this move. Even though I am not a fan of the AC it seems like they had a large, and deticated following.

I don't think we were able to stump the piano.

Disney stopped putting any real money into the place in the late 1990s. At that point, it was a forgone conclusion that PI would grow stale and die. I liked the AC, but I certainly didn't find it as amazing as some of its fans. It also lost something over the years. Still, I am sad to see it go to make DD into one giant mall with largely Disney merchandise locations and outside vendors operating dining (as much as I enjoy Puck's, Fulton's and Portobello). WDW is simply going to offer a blander product without PI.

"Fingers" Jim Hill had an article posted today with a picture of the main guy who played Fingers. >>I remember playing 'stump the piano' one evening in that room years ago. Probably 1990 or so... Cool to hear that you have good memories of it.

In fact, it hit me -- I was a 'Traditions' instructor at Walt Disney World when the resort was hiring for the new Disney-MGM Studios and Pleasure Island. I had several orientation days with a room full of actors and actresses who would become the 'Streetmosphere' characters at Disney-MGM (remember those twin brothers?) and also the characters and entertainment at the venues at Pleasure Island. It was fun to go to the Adventurer's Club and at 'Disney-MGM' and see all the actors and have them say 'Hey, it's Jim my Traditions Instructor!' I remember one of the butler's at Adventurer's Club went on to a Nickelodeon show, and I seem to recall that one of the twin brothers went on to a TV series. And I recognize Sheila in that photo on Jim Hill media.
