The only thing that seems a little off is that there isn't a ton of time to get the props over from WDW and repaint them before the DCA attraction is going to open. I guess it's more time that the Electrical Parade had during its move early last year, but it still might be tight. It just seems so odd to me that they keep insisting that small roller coasters need to be themed to Goofy. There's nothing about them that implies it. The WDW area is getting rethemed to Dumbo, and the coaster is getting rethemed to fit in with a circus, but for some reason they're keeping Goofy (even though there's a perfectly nice train in the movie that they could use). The DCA coaster's location has nothing to do with Goofy or flying, so I'm just at a loss here. At least Mullholland Madness fit in with the quasi-Route-66-kitchy feel of the area. This will just be a random attraction plopped down in a random spot with random theming slapped on the side of it. If this isn't lipstick on a pig, I don't know what is.

Goofy's "How To" shorts are the inspiration for making this off-the-shelf coaster a better fit. The last hold outs will be Jumpin' Jellyfish and Triton's Carousel. (The Golden Zephyr isn't character based, but fits the 30s theme). Toy Story Midway Madness does use contemporary characters, but the entire attraction fits in the 30s. I think it is possible that some props will be carried over from the MK Barnstormer.. There's a couple of boards in the Blue Sky Cellar that might have more definite clues.

Is MFW better than SW? I would argue yes, because of the music and view. I say THEME THE HECK OUT OF IT! Soundtrack. AA's. Props. Back story. Anything to make it special.

My big issue with it, and I think most people probably share this sentiment, is that it's just so doggone ugly. There's certainly nothing charming or about the track supports and barren floor of a mad mouse coaster.
