We have booked a 2 room suite(as we have in the past) but are always put into the same one-way in the back-takes forever from the elevator. We wanted a different one-but of course got conflicting stories on how to "request" a room. Some say at time of booking-orthers at time of arrival. So my husband called the other day to see what he could do-and they have us again in the far away one-and have been told that maybe you can change it upon arrival(we will be getting there at around 8am). So any words of advice on how to get to another suite. Any advice-even if its how to do it differently the next time-would be greatly appreciated. We booked through AAA if that makes a difference. I had better luck with faxing my requests to the hotel a few days ahead of time. Of course, this was also for WDW, but it probably can't hurt to send a very nice faxed request.

I was told, and I know others will disagree, that the suite assignments are made when you make your reservation. They block you into a room right then so they know how many of each type they have sold. I seriously doubt you will be able to change when you check in because of all the logistics about who is checking into which room when and who is coming in after etc. My advice would be to contact guest services and work with them, it might not work for this trip, but for the future they might be able to get you where you want from the start, it's almost impossible to change once they have book things. Because you have a suite, the "get there early and ask for a change" doesn't work. Good Luck!

Hopefully when we check-in there will be no probs and it will all be smooth sailing!

I hope you get the room you want Lisa, please come back after the weekend and let us know how much fun you had!

Our first time we got a 2 bedroom suite we were over looking the grizzly-perfect spot. Its not that we dont get a wonderful room-its just so far from the elevator. Is there a way to know where the other suites are located and specifically request one-the next time?

    thanks again-Lisa

There are a few on the 6th floor but 2 of them face the Brisa Courtyard (no park view) and the other is down the 400 wing as well. Call the hotel directly and just ask them to note it in your reservation your preferences. Also, if you were to look at a suite with queen beds in both bedrooms, it gives the FD a little more flexibility on your suite location. What are your arrival dates?
