I LOVE to sit on my balcony and people watch. In the morning, we run down to Whitewater Snacks for a yummy breakfast burrito and coffee, then bring it back to eat while we watch people headed to the park. In the evening, we open a bottle of wine and watch the fireworks. Contact Vacation Planning, and they can have an autographed character photo waiting in the room for your parents. They can also arrange priority seating for various shows. Several offerings, including these, are complimentary. This is the floor map of the Grand Californian. The rooms along the top of the map are the DTD view rooms. I have stayed in 147 on both the 3rd and 4th floors and in 429/431 twice. Fireworks views were great from all! 431 has a slightly smaller balcony than the other rooms had. http://albums.photo.epson.com/ j/AlbumIndex?u=4071689&a=30842724

I've got online albums from several trips. Oh! If they like the hotel, I strongly recommend the free daily tour. I've taken it 3 times and each time I've seen something not on the other tours. If they like the ambience of the Napa Rose, but not the price tag, suggest they pop in to have a glass of wine or a cocktail in the lounge section
