Yet another magical cutback brought to you by WDW's exec 'leadership' team.

And before you ask if it temporary, remember to stop by Spoodles or California Grill for lunch ... or Bonfamille's, Ariel's or Tangaroa Terrace for any meal.

So if you're staying at Dixie Landings and hungry in the morning instead of a tasty, reasonably priced quality meal in a comfortable dining room, you can fight the hordes for the food court crap ... or just drive on over to Denny's on 535 for a Grand Slam ... it'll cost you less and taste a lot better anyway.

Last time I checked offer a good product with a Unique Selling Proposition (Not the same as the other 100 restaurants), make the price fair, make the product accessible and you'll see revenues (especially once word of mouth spreads).

Don't you want to keep your market captive Disney?

I just can't bring myself to telling my Bud from the Metro-Mess about this. It nearly broke his heart when I told him about the AC closing. I'm afraid this would be to much for him. He always makes a trip over there for strawberries, and cream for breakfast. This is just going to be another cut where people say "it doesn't effect me, why should I worry about it". All those little things are really adding up.

I never could understand Bonafamille's closing. It always had good food, and there was always a decent crowd there, and that was during value season.
I consider the real Port Orleans to be one of the best Resorts on property. If they had Balconies I would alternate my stays there. Eating in food courts reminds me of dining in a military mess hall. That's not what I consider a vacation.

Will Nikki (not picking on you, but you'll be there) ask to speak to the manager and register displeasure?

    Will others?

Will people write, email and phone the people who make the decisions?

(In other words, not do what Disney wants and send a note to Guest Communications).

People can make a difference. The complaints at TPFKaTD-MGMS over the cutting of Fantasmic to two nights a week have been large and vocal.

Disney just gave in a bit and now increased to three nights (although mindblowingly still no weekend showings).

The time to complain is now.

And face to face is always best.

I've heard that as well. But after they closed the place in the mid-90s, they basically let it sit and rot ... typical WDW neglect.

What might have been needed ... say $50,000 of work now might be 10 times that just to begin to make it useable.

So they'll let it sit and rot more ... and maybe in 2012 when a hurricane collapses a piece of the roof, they'll knock the place down and either put some grass on the site ... or maybe a bench and kid's play area.

I don't understand. Based on the dining section all of you on here won't shut up about how good it is(......... it never did anything for me except bore me out of my wits as I looked around the place, make me sit at the table for a very long time and then bring me a big bill ........ ) and one routinely needs many days advance reservations to dine.

If it's so damn popular why can't they make it work for lunch?

Don't call my grandchildren brats, let them play for a half hour. Eat a Dole Whip while they play. It's wind-down time, for kids and parents too.
