It used to be that all upgrades were surprises at the front desk. I would advise you to bring your reservation sheet. There have been posts elsewhere about guests showing up and the front desk thinks the price is higher than it really is. I've seen this in the past, but it seems much worse this year. I hope you really get a credit!

The Polynesian is my favorite resort, I just can't bear to spend that much money on a room except just every so often (no matter where I go). Generally, I end up at the Pop Century or in a tent at the campground! Congratulations again! Definitely post again on how everything went. The All Star Music Suites look to be quite nice.

Like - on the Disney cruise, people will get an inside room, saying they aren't going to be in it anyway. However, if you have a balcony, you may find you'll use it (I used it a lot). When I've stayed at the AKL or any other deluxe, I spend more time in the room than if I'm at the Pop Century.
