Our original reservation was for 2 standard rooms at All Star Music resort. The new reservation had upgraded us to the All Star Family Suites! I called the resort and they told me the new reservations (All star suites) was correct. They didn't know how it happened...they said "maybe pixie dust!".
And the best part is this new reservation was almost 50% less expensive that our original reservation...They told me I would get a credit when I checked in!!
Great way to start our vacation!!

It used to be that all upgrades were surprises at the front desk. I would advise you to bring your reservation sheet. There have been posts elsewhere about guests showing up and the front desk thinks the price is higher than it really is. I've seen this in the past, but it seems much worse this year. I hope you really get a credit!

I think the values are just fine. The Polynesian is my favorite resort, I just can't bear to spend that much money on a room except just every so often (no matter where I go). Generally, I end up at the Pop Century or in a tent at the campground!

Congratulations again! Definitely post again on how everything went. The All Star Music Suites look to be quite nice.

Since we basically only use the room to sleep in ... the Values work fine for us.

    Enjoy your upgrade!

I have stayed at some of the deluxes and Moderates in the past, but I am traveling with 3 grandchildren and 2 of my grown children. We don't spend enough time in the resort to justify the expense...This is the first time we will be at ASMu. We usually take the kids to the ASmo and they love it!

Who knows, maybe we'll luck out at the Poly and get an upgrade from our standard room!

Like - on the Disney cruise, people will get an inside room, saying they aren't going to be in it anyway. However, if you have a balcony, you may find you'll use it (I used it a lot). When I've stayed at the AKL or any other deluxe, I spend more time in the room than if I'm at the Pop Century. :)
