Could you please tell me which store you used and did you just go to the store's website and order them there indicating the hotel's address? Would really love to know that we can get milk, etc. for the little ones as we won't have a car with us. Thanks so much for your incredible knowledge that you share!

To walk, just walk south from the hotel on Disneyland Drive to Katella, and make a right (west). Food4Less (run by Kroger/Ralphs) will be on the south side of the street.

To take the bus, walk to Katella, and catch Route 50 going west. The bus runs about 30 minutes, and costs $1.25 one way.

The compass? bookstore (first store on the right in DTD from DLH) has the biggest bottles of milk for the cheapest price. Watch out in both stores though because they have giant displays of desserts!

We bring a suitcase of food when we travel almost everywhere! Cereals that already come in the bowls, oatmeal in little packages, and other things like peanut butter, jelly, bread, cereal bars, pretzles and other snacks and I have even put fruit in our luggage like apples and oranges. I bring little plastic bowls and child's plates and cups with sippy lids, plastic silver ware and one sharp knife (wrapped in cardboard) for cutting apples. I even bring a pitcher with ice tea mix for myself because I don't like soda. If you take the little shelf in the middle of the fridge out, a pitcher will fit fine. I bring baggies and napkins too and sometimes pack sandwiches for the park. We usually do breakfast in the room and still I take sandwiches in case the kids get hungry between meals and I don't want to give them junk.

We always used to say we would stop and get groceries but never wanted to take the time, either too tired upon arrival or too excited to get to the park. Remember the frige is really small so don't order too much if you go that route!

The delivery windows are not guarenteed. You may spend the day waiting for the driver to show up. They will not drop off at the front desk. You must be there to show your credit card and sign for the delivery. And the front desk at the DL hotel will not accept the food since they do not have a fridge to store it in. I think it would be faster and easier to take a cab to the market.

I got back from DL on 9/29.
I live in the SF Bay Area and I used safeway.com.
I called the DLH and asked at the bell desk if they would accept an order. They said yes, no problem.
I called safeway and asked how to go about this using the DLH address amd to make sure my delivery didn't end up in the black hole.
I just had to change my user profile on safeway.com to the DLH address (1150 Magic Way, Anaheim).
Then safeway.com magically becomes Vons.com when you login.

I ordered cases of water, milk, juice boxes, cereal, bagels, fruit, plastic utensils, paper towel, small thing of dish soap, half and half, coffee, lunchmeat, bread, condiments pb&j, cheese sticks and yogurts.

It was great! We saved so much $ eating breakfast in our room and bringing our own waters. The fridge is TINY, so we added waters a few at a time.

The bellman that brought up our order said he didn't know why more people didn't order groceries. He thought it was a great idea and said if he stayed at DLR he would definitely do it that way.

The order totaled $150 so their was no delivery charge, but you still have to tip the bell man.

The bell desk called to tell me my order was there waiting for me at 5pm. We were heading back to the room for naps anyway.
When we got back I called and they brought it up. They could have just left it in our room, but then why would they pass up a tipping opportunity?
I requested 4-6pm since I wasn't sure if our room was going to ready before 3pm.

I scheduled the order a few days ahead of time as I know the time slots fill quickly.

    Good luck!

    Natalie

The delivery time slots fill up anywhere from 3-5 days ahead, so if you have a short delivery window (as I did) you might want to grab that ASAP.
Safeway has a free delivery promo right now that expires Oct 31. Place an order of $50 or more and use the code SWEET at check out for a free delivery.

Call The PPH bell desk. I asked the operator at DLH and she said she didn't think so, but I asked to be transferred to the bell desk and they said "no problem".

    When are you going mamacita?

If you order over $150 delivery is free.
If you're ordering liquor and beer you should definitely meet the minimum.
    Well, if you're lushes...
