I am not a huge fan of car chases but this was extremely well done with loads of precision driving and loads of filler between the stunt scenes. At Epcot the Soarin's ride was also fine. The queue was a hair better than the one at DCA but felt a bit generic and unexciting. The ride was virtually the same (downs to the dust balls on the film) except at the end when one of the fireworks exploded the car jerked backwards a bit which was effective. We stood in front of Mission Space and admired the facade. I really wanted to ride it but am one of those who gets sick on many rides. Oh well. At the Magic Kingdom We did the Stich's Great Escape which I didn;t think was the piece of crap everyone said it was. Mind you it was not great by any means either. Underwhelming and a bit boaring. The giant laser gubs had great movement but they could have used them to greater advantagew with some more eefects. I liked Alien Encounter better and only thought that was a C ticket. Mickey's Philharmagic was the biggest dissapointment to me. I didn't feel the story was storng and most of the 3D was just okay. The jewels where the best. It was the same main songs from the same animated films that they have been using for the last decade. I would like to have seen less of Ariel and Lumier and more of a wide spread representation of Disney's animated repertoire. The two screens on the side were not in 3D. It was sort of neat. At the Animal Kingdom Expedition Everest is extremely interesting. I was afraid it was going to look to small across the water (and in some spots, it's wierd shape doesn't quite work) but there are some spectacular views of it around the park. We spent more time photograpghing it than anything else on the trip. At night the area is very atmospheric (unless the Tarzan Rocks show is intruding with it's loud volume). In general I hope none of the new attrations are brought over to Disneyland Resort though. I prefer them to be kept separate and none of them (except Everest and even then we don't know about the ride))are good enough to import over here.

One of my hands was gripping the handlebar on my right, and the other was crushing my mom's hand. And we were in the lowest row! I hate to think what would have happened if they had loaded us on the front row! It's so weird. . . I love climbing heights, but I'm incredibly frightened of falling from them or jumping from them. I'm not sure at this point if I'd try Soarin' again. I'd have to be riding it with someone I know, that's for sure!

First up I think this attraction can be 'exported' to any of the Dl parks out there because it tickles the fancy of parents with brats, and it's cute enough and safe enough to play to everyone. Besides, it is already at HKDL. But if you were not impressed with it (and I thought it was ok, but not hugely great as most like it here) why do you think it has potential if you'd not export it to other parks??? Just curious.

Originally Posted By stitchcrazy < don't mind the views from anywhere inside the park - I do mind the view from the parking lot.> I totally agree. The view from the parking lot - and even from the road when you are just coming up to the park is beyond disappointing in its current state. It misses out on a good opportunity to start build up for the ride before one even gets to the park.
Originally Posted By Daannzzz ""why do you think it has potential if you'd not export it to other parks??? Just curious?"" I think that they need to edit out some parts of it , film some new scenes (make it a bit longer) and increase the 3D effects. I was also expecting some more in theater effects, not the usual waterand air spray. The Donald butt in the back of the theater was cute but sort of a retread of Muppets. I know I am in the minority as my Dad, Brother and Sister in Law really liked it.

I'm sure it models the actual Everest, I think I would have prefered a little more "artistic license."
