ORDDU: The sad thing we saw was the back side of Expedition Everest--and let us tell you, ducklings--as breathtakingly beautiful as the lofty peaks truly are--it's a shame that they only built half a mountain instead of a whole one. Depending on which angle you view it from, you can see unsightly show buildings that completely destroy the illusion of an otherwise wonderful piece of work. I believe TDLFAN--or someone else--may have already mentioned this too. ORWEN: When we talked to a Cast Member about this, he said there had actually been a number of other comments about how guests can see the ugly show buildings from the parking lot--and how they don't understand why those weren't camoflaged at least. He said, "That's what you get when you do a rush job on an attraction like this." ORDDU: Perhaps we're a bit spoiled by the fact that the Matterhorn at Disneyland is a complete Mountain from every angle you see it from. ORGOCH: In the meantime, any witch with half a broom can plainly see they only got half a mountain, whilst flyin' over the dang place! ORWEN: I don't understand why they didn't consider how awful only half a mountain looks! ORGOCH: 'Cause they's CHEAP!! That's why!! Guess a body oughtta be glad they even got HALF a mountain, these days!! ORDDU: Hopefully--at some point in the near future--the powers that be will do something to at least cover up that nasty looking show building. If only guests didn't have to be exposed to THAT, Expedition would be a lot more awesome than it, otherwise, is...

But, then, you see all kinds of things you wouldn't normally see from ground level. ORWEN: In the case of Expedition Everest, you just see it all--until you get inside the park, itself, anyway. ORDDU: And please don't misunderstand us. We're very glad to even HAVE Expedition Everest. It seems to already be a hit with the guests. We had merely hoped for a complete mountain--like Disneyland Matterhorn is.

But the trees at DAK have been there for a while already, and it is a HUGE wall. It is definately over 100 ft tall, and getting trees to cover it up would be difficult. They could try to do what they have done to the Indy building at DL, and paint some plants on the wall, and have planters attached with things growing really tall to help cover it up. If they made it blend in better, it might look like there are just trees in the way, rather than just a painted wall.
